    ⏱️Item Rentals

    Root commands: /rent

    Checking Overdue Rentals

    You can view all currently rented items with /rent rented. This will open a GUI showing all rented items, displaying the poster, renter, and rent time. If the item is overdue, it will include red text saying so.

    Returning Overdue Rentals

    If an item in /rent rented shows as overdue, the procedure to return the item to the poster is:

    1. Left-click the item in the GUI, which will return it to the poster.
      • This returns the original item back to the poster, but does not take the rented item from the renter.
    2. Find the rented item in the possession of the renter. It'll usually be in their inventory/EC/PV, but you may need to look into their chest logs if you can't find it.
    3. Punish the renter who failed to return the rented item on time (see below)

    Overdue Rental Punishments

    The current procedure for punishing players who fail to return rented items is to give three warnings (/warn <player> Failure to return rented item), before giving a stronger punishment. We have not yet had to go beyond a third warning, so there is no precedent on what the punishment should be. The punishment would be situational based on how late the item is, how clear it is whether the player intended to not return the item.

    A more automated punishment solution is coming soon™️ to reduce the need for staff to be manually involved in this process.

    Viewing Rental History

    Rent History GUI

    You can view the rental history (currently and previously posted items) with /rent history <player>. The items in this GUI can be clicked to view the history for that item, including who rented it and when.

    Rent Logs

    You can view the rental logs for a player, for both rentals they've posted and items they've rented, using /rent logs <renter/poster> <player> [<page>]
