๐ง Whitelist
Root commands: /whitelist
Worlds: All Servers
Access Level: Admin
The whitelist allows us to lock-down a server so that only a select list of players can join. It is often used when a server needs to go into maintenance mode, such as when a serious bug is discovered or something major breaks.
Turning On The Whitelist
To turn on the whitelist for a server, use the command:
/whitelist on
Turning Off The Whitelist
To turn off the whitelist for a server, use the command:
/whitelist off
Seeing Who Is On The Whitelist
To see all of the players on the whitelist, use the command:
/whitelist list
Adding A Player To The Whitelist
To add a player to the whitelist, use the command:
/whitelist add <player>
[!NOTE]
You will most likely already be on the whitelist as a staff member, so adding yourself is not needed. Use this command to add other players.
Removing a Player From The Whitelist
To remove a player from the whitelist, use the command:
/whitelist remove <player>
Emergency Whitelist & Lockdown Protocol
In the event of a server issue requiring everyone to be kicked immediately (e.g. WorldGuard failing to load at spawn after a restart, or a broken vote party spamming items non-stop):
- Kick all players:
/kickall
Kicks all players on the current server and puts them into the lobby. - Enable Whitelist:
/whitelist on - Kick again if needed: Run
/kickallagain if players managed to join back before the whitelist command completed.
Note: If the issue is not urgent enough to require an immediate kick, enable the whitelist with/whitelist onfirst.
