🥸 Admin Alternate Accounts

As of the writing of this policy (07/10/2025), the current stance regarding alternate accounts is that each admin may have an alternate account that they use to play the server.

Making Admin Alternate Accounts

It is highly suggested during admin promotions for the new admin to get the alternate account and use it as the new admin account. This prevents us from having to do a player data transfer. If for some reason this is not possible, then follow the steps in 🫂 Account Transfers for moving the player data from the main account to the alternate account

Transparency of Admin Alternate Accounts

To help relieve concerns regarding admins playing on alts, the staff team has become much more transparent about the use of admin alts. Simply put, hiding them is near impossible, and players will do everything possible to find the alt account.

Soon, we may begin publicly providing a list of the admin alts for all players to view. We are actively looking to relieve player concerns regarding them, and this is one step we are considering taking.

Should a player ask you if you are an admin, you are not necessarily required to say yes or no, but it is suggested to be transparent about it when appropriate.

Rules to Follow on Admin Alternate Accounts

While there are not explicit rules that only apply to admin alts, it should generally be expected for admin alts to maintain good behavior. Act as if you are on your admin account - do not break server rules or behave in ways that do not align with the staff team. Expect that everybody knows who you are, and act accordingly.

Special Permissions For Admin Alternate Accounts

Admin alts are given a special permissions group that gives access to a few different things while on your alt:

• You can view AltVerify
• You can view and use in-game staff chat
• You can approve nickname requests
• You can answer helper tickets
• You can use the Spark Profiler
