Warning

Warns are often issued to a player as the punishment for a first offense of many rule violations. They help to remind players that there is a rule in place against something they may be doing, while not extending them a harsher punishment, like a mute or ban, because of it.

Warning A Player

To warn a player, simply type the command, their name, and the reason:
/warn <player> [reason]

Make sure that you provide a detailed reason for the warn. For instance, a bad warn description for flooding would be /warn Aubie2002 chat rules, whereas a good warn description for flooding would be /warn Aubie2002 Flooding in Main Chat.

Silently Warning A Player

To silently warn a player, simply type the command, their name, the reason, and the silent token identifier:
/warn <player> [reason] -s

By adding a -s at the end (or anywhere) to the warn message, the warn will be done silently, and will not be shown in chat to regular players. This is useful for situations where you are extending a warn due to special circumstances, warned the wrong player, had the wrong message, or any other special case.

Un-Warning A Player

To unwarn a player, simply type the command, their name, the reason. It is always suggested to do it silently as-well:
/unwarn <player> [reason] -s

Note that un-warning a player prunes it from their history automatically, so there is no need to do any further steps. Always confirm after warning and/or un-warning a player that their history is correct by checking their history.
