Combat And Cop Logging
Make sure to review the ๐งโโ๏ธ Overview of Policies and Punishment Guidelines before punishing players for lying about logging infractions.
Combat Logging Infractions Include:
- A player logging out when in combat tag during active PvP
- A player logging out while not in combat tag to avoid PvP
Note that these rules do not apply in KitPVP.
Cop Logging Infractions Include:
- A player logging out when being actively chased by a cop
- A player logging out when noticing a cop moving towards them in an attempt to frisk them
Note that this rule is enforced regardless of if the player had chems or not
General Advice For Combat/Cop Logging:
- There are only three methods under which these rules are enforced:
- A staff player actively observes the offense happening
- A staff player is provided direct evidence of the offense happening (such as by a screen recording)
- An admin is available at the time of the offense to investigate the suspect's logout location, logout time, and inventory
- If a player makes a report on another player for combat/cop logging, but is unable to provide any evidence, and logs are not conclusive, then do not punish the other player
- If the offense is not handled right away, it is unlikely that any items (for combat logging) or chems (for cop logging) will be able to be returned to the reporting player
- Only Admin+ are able to return said items
- For cop logging, you may find
/coplog check <player>, where player is the cop, useful. This will show all players who have logged out within 32 blocks of the given player, within the last 30 minutes.
Suggested Escalation of Punishments:
- 30 minute tempban
- 90 minute tempban
- 4 hour tempban
- For continued offences, continue to issue a 4 hour ban per offense
