Mute And Ban Evasion

Mute or Ban Evasion occurs when a player who has been muted or banned bypasses that mute or ban. This often results in an extended punishment, as explained below:

Mute evasion

Mutes can be evaded through a variety of ways:

• Through discord in-game chat
• Through advert misuse (using an advert to bypass mute, not to advertise)
• Through alternate account use

Generally, when a player evades a mute, the suggested punishment is banning the player for the remaining duration of the ban. However, if they evaded through advert misuse or alternate account use, then there may be further punishments needed as described in Advert Misuse and Use of Alts, respectfully.

Ban Evasion

Ban evasion is much more straightforward. There are only three situations that can really ever occur:

• Through an account on the same IP
• Through an account on a different IP
• Through an account on a VPN

In all three situations, a player has to use an alternate account, and therefore should be punished with the guidelines described in Use of Alts and Use of VPN.
