๐Ÿง‘โ€โš–๏ธ Overview Of Policies And Punishment Guidelines

Prior to reviewing the policies and punishment guidelines, it is suggested that you read over the Home page first.

Welcome to the Overview of Moderation Policies and Punishment Guidelines. This section provides several key resources for staff members. It explains how we approach different situations, what are tools are available in investigations, and how we punish players for infractions. Note that not every situation is described here and that there may be changes made to these guidelines as needed.

Much of what you will see here is a guideline, and simply that. You are a TrialMod+ at this point and are trusted to determine the best course of action. Don't be afraid to judge situations on their severity and hand out punishments accordingly. You do not have to follow the punishments given in these guidelines verbatim, just don't go wild with them.

Whenever handling a situation involving rule infringement on the server, there are five key steps you should follow:

  1. Confirm Rule Violation: If needed, reference the rules , and confirm that a server rule is being violated by a player
  2. Check Player History: Check the player's history by following the guidelines to identify previous rule violations
  3. Issue Punishment: Issue the correct punishment (via Warning, Muting, or Banning the player) for the rule violation as outlined in the Punishment Guidelines
  4. Watch for Extended Violations: Keep an eye out for continued violation of rules by the player
  5. Monitor for Appeals: If the punishment is appealable, monitor the ban appeal forums for any appeals by the player and handle appeals following the policies described in Handling Ban Appeals

That concludes the introduction to this section! Again, you are a trusted staff member, so you should be able to decide the best course of action using the policies and guidelines given here.
